They will tell us that such technology only makes us freer to do other things, much like how Greeks had slaves to take care of them as they sat around and debated politics all day, really, the only way for democracy to work half right.

If one can make enough to live well without working well they are the real winners in america. That is only possible for very few. My neighbors son for instance. 34 years old. Wealthy parents. He runs their old farm like a small hobby farm now as they sold off most of their land to another family run farm.
No wife, no kids, both parents in assisted living. He has lots of $ and sets his own schedule. He gets up, feeds his horses, goes to see his parents. That's about it. He's the nicest happiest young man you'd ever meet. Those cases are very few and far between.

I watched very little hollywood produced junk before this started.

The Koreans are kicking hollywood's ass in TV and even Russian movies are better. Maybe it's not a slickly produced and the effects are primitive compared to the latest Avengers movie but there's actually plot, and dialogue.

So no, I don't really give a damn.
