I am moving to New York State (someplace close to a VA hospital), and there's a few things I want to find out about. Someone who lives there would know.

I'm not moving there for the politics. I grew up there. I just like the area in the rural, rolling hills. Democrats havent destroyed the beauty there.Surely there are better options than NY.
Unless you have family there who can help you out.

Imoved out of New York City in 1977. And it wasnt as bad then as it is now with Mayor Erratic Eric. I'm just interested in the gun laws and any wildlife problems. n what ever else I dont know about. But the politics are there nonetheless.
But yeah you can avoid a lot of the crazy if you live in the boonies.

I'm also considering New Hampshire. Very lenient on guns.Cant like NY gun laws thats for sure.
Actually, the areas of upstate NY (not counting the three or four major upstate cities)(Buffalo, Albany, Rochester and maybe Syracuse) tend to be conservative and Republican. But the politics are there nonetheless.

That’s true in any state.Maybe so but they're still beholding to state laws.
That’s true in any state.
Yep. But the question is about NY State.True, but in a lot of states like Texas I'm fine with that.

Again. No. It isn’t. But there ARE some cities which are deep blue wasteland shitholes.I wouldnt call NY just any state.
It's a liberal shithole.

Tell me about it. I was once one of them.I feel sorry for any conservative that has to live under dem policies in NY.

In the last election, Republican Lee Zeldin almost won the governor race. It was close. This shows that once you take New York City (minus Staten Island) out of the equation, the rest of the state is actually quite conservative.I wouldnt call NY just any state.
