Not saying that I think extremist leftists (like TDM, wrongwinger, etc) would be swayed by this if indeed completely accurate... But do you think this could have an effect of independents, undecideds, etc?? If he is directly tied to a socialist party/organization that he and his cohorts completely denied having ties to, will it be a big enough deal to make a swing in the election?
Absolutely it would if it is accurate and...this is the big one....the MSM reports it.
If the only people that report the story is conservative media then it will do nothing but preach to the choir. In order to reach the independents and swing voters the regular media will have to report it...which is unlikely. They are unapologetic in their support for Obama.
Think about it. The only reason all of this kind of stuff never saw the light in 2008 was because the McCain camp refused to go negative...so only the conservative media covered any of it. It really depends on what the Romney camp will do in September. If they make an issue of this kind of stuff - then and only then will the MSM report on it - and even then it will either be short at the end of the show...or they will invite liberal guest who will refute it with no guest to refute them.
