Do you regret voting for Trump? A Sincere Perspective

A leftist asked me earlier if I regretted voting for Trump. In some ways I do, in some ways I don't. But that was a choice I made that I can't back out of now. It is moot to have regret now.

But since we're on the topic of regret, did any of you on the left feel any remorse for allowing your party to steer a cognitively suspect old man around and parade him about as perfectly fit and compos mentis? Did you regret wilfully ignoring the exploitation of an elderly man with no mental faculties by a group of handlers who, for all intents and purposes, ran the country while essentially hiding him on the shelf to slowly expire?

Do you regret being a party to that? Answer truthfully. If your politics are so extreme that you would do that to someone, or vote for that someone with that kind of foreknowledge, then you need to do some self-introspection. What they did to Biden was wrong on a number of levels. If your politics are so extreme that you were willing to vote for and put up with that behavior, it's time you reassessed who you are and what your values are.

Trump is by far not perfect, and in some ways, he's a vulgar, vengeful, ill-tempered, and impulsive man. My regret is that we couldn't have an upstanding man with the same charisma run in his place on the Republican side the last three years. But it is what it is. My regret is putting him before God and damaging cherished relationships because of it. My regret is casting my pearls (values) before swine, and having been rended by them.

But regret? Regret is pointless. The gamble has been taken and the result has been meted out.

Do you regret voting for Trump? A Sincere Perspective

NOPE…The level of lib hatred and resistance tells me my decision was sound AF.

Trump may not be the perfect POTUS, but he is the only anti-establishment politician there is, so he wins by default. Trump is the only politician with the courage to take on the entrenched establishment that serves the elite. Look at what they put Trump through, and continue to put him through, yet he continues fighting. There are no other politicians who would even think about it. Hopefully Trump emboldens a new anti-establishment movement and others, who might be better politicians, step up and continue the fight. Maybe some day a democrat will find some courage.

The blue suit thing comes to mind, the media made a big deal about it when in reality about half of the men at the funeral wore blue suits. They just cropped the picture to not show that and tried to make it a thing. It’s impossible to hate the media enough.

So? A child will be mad when you punish him, but he learns and is grateful in the end.
You ever play risk? You dont attack all the opponents at once. You form allies and go in against the weak. Guess what? When you attack everyone, you are now the weak. Its common sense. Even if you like Trump being an asshole for some grotesque reason you have to question his terrible tactics.. They are childish tantrums, not tactical moves.

Sigh. And were your Keynesian tactics a sure road to victory?
I know that moderation and steady strategies win. Not crazy ass winging it. Whatever you dont like about the US economy didnt need to be fixed by wiping out $8Trillion in wealth and alienating our allies. Trump is burning down the savings of most Americans. He doesnt care cuz he can grift away.

Trump has only been in office 100 days.
Give him another 100 days.
Then let's see the results.
He couldn't do any worse than bozo Biden.
To be fair we have lots of measures and he is worse than Biden. You can be hopeful he fixes the things he broke.. but why not pressure him to unbreak the economy he broke? His actions make no sense unless you really dont know anything about business and the economy and just trust Trump's well known bluster and bullshit.

That's not true.

We are actively negotiating with ALL THREE COUNTRIES as we speak.

They are shoring up their relations with each other while stalling the US. Trump claimed he could get a deal fast. South Korea says.. .well maybe by July we can work something out. Link

I do not regret voting for Donald Trump! I am not a moron so I did not vote for him.

  • Stock market down $8 Trillion
  • The US Dollar index is down over 9%... that's cash burning
  • GDP dropped in Q1
  • Consumer confidence is at a 70-year low
  • Job concern as high as '09 recession levels
  • Huge cutback in companies' capital spending
  • New factory orders have collapsed
  • Bottom fell out of earning expectations
  • Prices already increasing
  • Trucking orders down
  • Container rates falling
Trump 2.0 is an utter disaster
If the left are melting down over things Trump does then that is clear cut evidence that whatever it is they are melting down over is yet another reason why I'm so glad I voted for Trump. I voted for the leftists to fall and that is exactly what is happening.

Jackass, tell us that in year four of Trump's term, not before day 100 when Trump has barely just begun.

You have zero credibility.
He is driving the US economy into a wall. This is like the early days of covid where you guys just "wanted to believe" that Trump had it all under control. Remember "we have it contained". "There will be zero cases by this weekend". "It will be gone by summer".

Trump really thinks he can just "will" stuff to work. Maybe he believes it. But he has ruined the economy based on his spectacularly bad gut feelings he can just "fix" stuff. We are screwed. Read this without crying: An Analysis On Current Economic Conditions

In the binary solution set that is our federal election system, I have no regrets.

Its not liberal college professor leading the criticism. Its Republican business leaders. No one thinks this is a good idea except Trump followers for some weird ass reason.

My credibility is scoreboard bitch. Look at the scoreboard. You can believe in your heart that Trump has a comeback planned but I dont care. The scoreboard doesnt lie. He has utterly failed in 100 days.

Youre the one HAPPY that Trump destroyed $8Trillion in wealth. That doesnt make sense.
Many of them says it's going beautifully. So this can only be one of a few things.

1. It may be that they're being told in their world everything's great, nothing's wrong
2. It may be that they're just lying and hoping things turn around
3. It may be that literally all they care about is getting rid of the evil brown subhumans

Maybe some combination therein.

I fully expected some short term pain. We can’t address the dual demons of our unsustainable debt and entrenched federal bureaucracy without some discomfort. The 24/7 whinging and chicken-littling by the useful idiot class is getting tedious, though, IMHO.
Tariff do nothing to address debt or federal bureaucracy. How about you push Trump to address those and not destroy the economy?

I have no appetite for liars tonight, old man.
What's not a lie is that Trump has single handedly:

  • Caused a huge cutback in companies capital spending - which causes recessions
  • Caused new factory orders to collapse - which causes recessions
  • Drove the bottom to fall out of earning expectations - fear of recession
  • Caused prices already increasing with American made prices falling - causes recessions
  • Created trucking orders to plummet - sign of recessions
  • Ushered in container rates falling - sign of recessions
  • Drove consumer sentiment down - sign or recessions
  • Created Job concern as high as '09 recession levels - sign of recessions

Cool story, brah. Now swim to Panama to escape your Orange nemesis.

The stock market is up, dumbass
Stock market is off $8 Trillion dollars since Trump took over. It was down $9M until last week. I am guessing you dont have a pot to piss in otherwise you'd know exactly how bad it has been. Even if you dont have wealth to protect i can guarantee you that although prosperity doesnt trickle down, pain does. Owners and corporations will start slashing and burning to protect their wealth and that means jobs and pay and benefits for those of you scraping buy. Thanks Trump!

So the bus driver is speeding into a brick wall but you dont care because the cool kids on the bus who torment you are screaming? You are fucked man.

I don't care what you think. Well, actually I do because if Trump makes you meltdown it pleases me to no end. We voted for Trump to make leftists melt down and that is what is happening and I couldn't be happier about it. Under Biden and the democrats, I agree with you, they made the one percenters richer and now the very people you used to despise, you are now relying on with your Trump hatred. Trump cares about the little guy, not the business leaders and CEO's you are posting about. It's laughable that you are using the once percenters, the very same ones you guys have railed about for years, as some sort of evidence against Trump.
