You mean like you making a "valid" logical argument that the moon is made of cheese when you know for a fact that that is untrue? That's when possessing some objective knowledge can come in handy.

You mean like you making a "valid" logical argument that the moon is made of cheese when you know for a fact that that is untrue? That's when possessing some objective knowledge can come in handy.
I'm not your assistant.So... can you explain to me how logic and reason are subjective and not objective?
That's right. Anyone can do that. You mean like you making a "valid" logical argument that the moon is made of cheese when you know for a fact that that is untrue?
No, it's not irrelevant. You claimed you could make a valid logical argument that the moon was made of cheese. I'm saying you can't. Logic that leads to blatantly false conclusions isn't logic. It's mental masturbation.Irrelevant.
But it's your claim. Can't you back up your claims? Why have claims if you can't show your reason and logic?I'm not your assistant.
See what you do to yourself? You so badly need a strawman that matches your 3 or 4 prescribed arguments, that you flop around and beg for assistance.
Just state your point.
Do you really believe that the events in the Old Testament really happened as written?Do you ever feel that God needs to go Old Testament again.?
I mean, in the Old days, God just obliterated people who didn't act right...

Why did God get wimpy on us? LOL
Sorry, God.. I don't mean anything here... I do acknowledge that You have your reasons... I guess one is that You are waiting for people to repent..
ha ha...
Good luck with that one!
(Since the people portrayed on Carlson's book cover are "still with us"... yeh, looks like we'll have to wait a LONG time for God to go Old Testament again...)
I do pray for those folks... seriously... have to force myself but I do..
No, that's not right. If your use of logic results in false conclusions it's not logic at all. It's your subjective mental masturbation. That's right. Anyone can do that.
It shows that the value of logic is very limited, without some objective knowledge to help it along.
Science is knowledge, and knowledge of all kinds has its place in our universe and in our lives.Science says nothing about morality.
Science is merely the study of the material universe
Science does not make judgements of good vs. evil.
As such, it is woefully inadequate to live your life by.
Do you really believe that the events in the Old Testament really happened as written?
Like a dude built a boat and housed two of every species while god flooded the earth and wiped everybody else out?
So then what are you? a christian anti terrorist who lacks a life so must come in sights like this?
God reveals himself to those that draw close to him.
I have 0 to do with any mortal govt.Interesting, you call me a "Terrorist", while MAGA MAGGOTS like you theaten people you have with violence. That you would call me is very telling, you are so ******* incapable understand a person NOT want your version your ******* god in their life that they have to a terrorist.
NO, I do not believe in violence. I want all you so-called "Christians" to shut the **** up. I do not want, need, desire, request or require any form of montheistic god head in my life. I am ******* tired of you people pushing your nonexistent Skyman on those of us who do not want it.
As I have said before, you want to believe bible bullshit, go for it, that is right that unlike Snoreleone, I fought to protect. That does not mean YOU have a right to tell me a single ******* thing. Keep you Sky Man to yourself. I do not want that shit in my life.
I see you quote your idol Hitler.
I was with you until the end when you played mind reader and pretended to know my intensions so you could shame me. Very immatureThe first five books of the Bible (known as the Torah) were credited - by some - as being written by Moses - an adopted son of the king of Egypt - in approximately 1400 B.C.. These five books focus on the beginning of the nation of Israel; but the first 11 chapters of the Torah records the history that all nations have in common. These allegorical accounts of the history of the world had been passed down from generation to generation orally for thousands of years. Moses (or whoever) did not really write the first 11 chapters of the Bible. Moses (or whoever) was the first Hebrew to record them.
Approximately 800 years before Moses (or whoever) recorded the allegorical accounts of the history of the world, the Chinese recorded this history as symbols in the Chinese language. They drew pictures to express words or ideas. Simple pictures were combined to make more complex thoughts. They used well known history and common everyday things to make a word so people could easily remember it. The account of Genesis found it's way into the Chinese written language because the Chinese had migrated from the cradle of civilization. Prior to this migration they all shared a common history and religion.
The Bible even explains how it was possible for the Chinese to record the account of Genesis 800 years before Moses (or whoever) recorded it. The account of the Tower of Babel was the allegorical account of the great migration from Mesopotamia. This also explains why all ancient cultures have an account of a great flood. Because they all shared a common history and religion before the great migration from the cradle of civilization.
So if you start from the belief that the first eleven chapters of the Torah are an allegorical account of world history before the great migration from Mesopotamia - which was an actual historical event - then the first eleven chapters of the Torah takes on new meaning. Seen in this light these accounts should be viewed less like fairy tales and more like how important information was passed down in ancient times. Just as the Chinese used well known history and everyday things as symbols in their written language to make words easier to remember, ancient man used stories to pass down historical events and important knowledge to future generations. Interspersed in these allegorical accounts of history are wisdoms that they deemed important enough to pass down and remember. Such as man knows right from wrong and when he violates it, rather than abandoning the concept of right and wrong he rationalizes he didn't do wrong. Most people don't even realize this wisdom is in the Torah because they read it critically instead of searching for the wisdom that ancient man knew and found important enough to include in his account of world history.
You have to keep in mind that these accounts are 6,000 years old and were passed down orally from one generation to the next for thousands of years. Surely ancient man believed these accounts were of the utmost importance otherwise they would not have been passed down for thousands of years before they were recorded in writing. You shouldn't view these accounts using the context of the modern world. Unfortunately, you are so far removed from these events that you have lost all original meaning. If you were to ask almost any Jew what the Tower of Babel was about he would have no clue that it was the allegorical account of the great migration from the cradle of civilization. That is not intended to be a criticism. It is intended to be an illustration of just how difficult a task it is to discover the original meaning from ancient accounts from 6,000 years ago. You read these texts like they were written yesterday looking for ways to discredit them and make ourselves feel superior rather than seeking the original meaning and wisdom. Shame on you.
My bad. See? I'm not a monster.I was with you until the end when you played mind reader and pretended to know my intensions so you could shame me. Very immature
But before that I agree with what you wrote. That’s why I find it interesting when people take those writings literally. I like to ask religious people how they interpret those stories. Thats what I did in this thread. Asked a question. You jumped to a conclusion so you could insult another person. Shame on you for that
All goodMy bad. See? I'm not a monster.
God hasn't changed. There is ZERO difference between the God of the OT and the NT
For instance, did you know, when He Returns, ALL will observe God's Holy Days and not your "Christian" holidays?
Furthermore, if ANY NATION does not keep His Feast of Tabernacles, he will shut off that nations rain until they do.
And...
At the end of the Millennial reign, Satan will be let loose for a time. He will inspire the nations to go to war with God and His saints.
FIRE will fall from heaven and kill MILLIONS
