Obama wasn't THAT bad. Good heavens. Yes, he inherited the worst economic calamaity since the Great Depression. I agree with you, his well meaning but overly idealistic wishes for a denuclearized world at peace caused him to miss a Big One with Isis. I still don't think the Iran agreement was so awful, though.

Obama wasn't some "hero" of mine. If I defend him here, it is because of the totally ridiculous attacks on him.

In terms of foreign policy Obama was an absolute mess.

He oversaw Libya and killed off Gaddafi, only to have ISIS take over and kill our ambassadors. I won't even get into that debacle with Hillary. Then he oversaw Syria, something the region is still reeling over and a genocide occurred under his and the UN's reign of power as they did NOTHING. Then he lowers sanctions to Iran and infuses them with billions of dollars. Keep in mind, this is the regime that promotes terrorism all through the Middle East and declares death to the US and Israel every day as they build nukes. As for North Korea, he just ignored him as he fired missiles around.

His only accomplishment, really was killing off Bind Laden, but then he more than made up for it by releasing terrorists at club Gitmo that returned to terrorism around the world, by trading them for a US soldier that joined the jihadists. Then he proceeds to make the soldiers who saw his traitorous actions not say anything by making them sign papers not to talk

As for his economic polices at home, at least he had enough since not to repeal the "W" tax breaks to help stimulate the economy, something that Trump would have been crucified for, but to not see that Trump cutting taxes more and getting rid of regulations has not helped the economy by leaps and bounds is to be completely blind.

Obama stood for a lot of things I stand for. Universal healthcare, citizenship for folks brought here illegally as children with their families. Equality for homosexuals. The domestic arena is where I feel Obama was the strongest.

Obama was for universal health care? Why then did he sell us Obamacare?

The selling of Obama was a complete disaster. Here are the lies:

1. It is not a tax
2. The legislation would be discussed live on CSPAN
3. You can keep you doctor
4. You can keep your health care coverage
5. Your premiums will go down.
6. It is not one of many steps needed to get to universal health care.
7. There is nothing unconstitutional about it.
8. Taxes would not be raised on the Middle Class

Then when it gets to SCOTUS, we are told that in order for it to be Constitutional it must be thought of as a tax, which ended up being one of the largest taxes on the Middle Class in US history. It was all done in back room deals where he had to bribe members of his own party to vote for it, not out in the open on CSPAN. Then when Kennedy had to step down because of brain cancer, they needed his vote which was lost to a Republican, so they just used Reconciliation to avoid the democratic vote, hence Nancy Pelosi saying we needed to pass it to see what it is we voted for. And as predicted, premiums went up, some lost their doctor, and health care coverage changed. If Obama had been a CEO of a corporation promising their clients these lies, he would have rightly gone to jail.

Now these very same voices tell us that we need universal health care and the ink on Obamacare is not even dry? Don't think so.

Immigration and border security are two different issues. We need to secure the border from people like MS 13, and guess what, they are not hard to spot because they tattoo themselves from head to foot with their gang signs. Once the border is secure, then we can agree to a sane immigration policy, but until then, we are all at risk. How is one death from MS13 crossing the border illegally acceptable?

Equality for gays? You mean gay marriage. Well, where is the equality for polygamists? In fact, why should the state be in the marriage business at all? Why should we all not have the same rights, even those who choose not to be sexually active? Why is the government in the bedroom at all?

As for racial issues, he refused to utter the words "Islamic terrorism" with the fear that people might take out their anger on innocent Muslims, but then feeds into the notion that law enforcement and the judicial system are racist, all while innocent policemen are being assassinated all over the country.

No, he was a disaster there as well.
