I would suggest you don’t extract too much from the outcome of this election. I am a conservative, and I can assure from my anecdotal perception that ever person who voted for Trump does not identify as a conservative. IMO, and I think there is plenty of information to support this, Trump’s margin came from Kamala underperforming compared to what Biden did in 2020 within specific sectors of voters.
Especially the phantom sectors.

Well, I mean, I think a lot of people just support normalcy in the sense of not having a completely uncontrolled border, or not grooming kids to ruin their own lives. Things like that. People just want the kids to enjoy a normal childhood, to be able to make ends meet, to have some sense that the country is secure. But they also are tired of the status quo. They also don't want to elect people who've spend years and years and years in politics.

In my case, as a registered independent, that’s true. But mainly, I’m anti-democrat because democrats are America’s greatest threat at the moment.
I was trying to be funny. Many just want to give a middle finger to the far left and their sanctimonious Bs. No bigger middle finger than Trump.
