There was some debate amongst Trump supporters here about whether Trump should give back some of the lawfare, or take the high road.

It seems he has decided to give it back.

Congresswman "LaMonica" has been ordered to turn over all firearms to the U.S. Marshalls and she is facing a possible 8 years in the federal pen. Judge Dugan will almost certainly be disbarred, even if she serves no time. I'm guessing Schumer is under investigations for his threats to Supreme Court justices, and Schiff for his constant lying to keep the phony investigations of Trump going.

These incidents would have been tolerated, covered up, minimized, or otherwise allowed to fade away by Republicans of the past. Now your party can either brace themselves to be treated as Trump and his supporters have been treated the last 8 years, or they can ask Trump to negotiate some kind of lawfare cease fire.

But they will have to ask, and nicely.

I get that Democrats are giddy that they have a chance to stop Trump's agenda after losing the election. But, what will they say when Trump appointed judges do the same if Democrats win the White House in 2028? What will they say if those Trump appointees also stop congressional actions when Dems have the majority?

Will they be satisfied with the answer: "Marbury v Madison, bitches!"

The Beauty of these "rulings" is that most of them do not "rule" on anything. Nearly all of them are judicial orders, not rulings. No one can run the executive and try to respond to nine hundred judges issuing orders and the opposition party claiming those orders are now "the law."

Then you saw LaMonica shove more than one ICE officers, all of whom were just doing their jobs.

Congressfolk are also allowed to conduct unannounced inspections of the DC jail. Yet, when they tried, they were turned away.

Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Majorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Louie Gohmert (Texas) on Thursday were turned away from the D.C. Department of Corrections where they tried to visit accused Jan. 6 rioters.

Video shows officers, who said the group was trespassing and “obstructing entrance into this facility,” denying the trio entry.

“The supervisor came down and was standing right here and turned her back on me. The other one said she won’t talk anymore and that we’re trespassers,” Gohmert said in comments to the press after the situation.

I'm sure the Republican congressfolk were pretty frustrated. But they did not assault the DC jailers. They held a press conference:



Made the Democrats who refused them entry look bad. LaMonica had a chance to make the other side look bad, but she chose instead to try force against federal officers. She should and will pay the price. Hopefully, she will be expelled from Congress. or allowed to step down in exchange for charges being dropped.

Let the governor of her state fill her seat with a Democrat, since the people voted for a Democrat to have that seat. But this time, someone less inclined toward violence upon being told "no."

LaMonica owes those federal officers and apology. Frankly, so do you, and every other Democrat on this board who defends LaMonica.
