Pittsburgh's layout is a planner's nightmare, as the streets and avenues and highways have had to be laid out with allowances for three rivers, a couple of "mountains," and old neighborhoods that were settled early for a variety of reasons. And so we have hordes of Black Yoots "hanging around" for much of the middle of the day in the CBD. And inevitably, there is the occasional shooting, gang fight, or altercation at a bus stop. Interestingly, many of the Yoots don't even attend school anymore, but they still come downtown to hang around with those who do. Force of habit, I suppose.

ALL of this mayhem is Black-only. All of the combatants are Black, all of the shooters and intended victims are Black, and all of the "innocent bystanders" who have been injured thus far have been Black.

And of course the Mayor and the Police Chief are regularly seen and heard figuratively pulling their hair out whilst looking for a solution to this problem.
