Russian-born Dimitri Simes, head of "the Center" for the National Interest [DC think tank linked to accused Russian spy Maria Butina] had early access to Trump’s infamous pro-Russia speech at the Mayflower Hotel. I'm on an all-nighter exposing Trump, and this is just the start!

Leslie Gelb, president emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former senior Defense and State Department official who has known Simes since the 1970’s, said that Simes’s “body of work belies those who portray him as a secret Russian agent.”

"Putin referred to Simes as his “American friend”…Simes: “I fully support President Putin’s tough stance [on Syria]”

just a note to remind everyone that Kushner's Russia advisor for the entirety of the 2016 presidential campaign, Dimitri Simes, now works for the Kremlin in Moscow as a talk-show host making half a million a year, which I assume is payment for a job well done during the campaign

Dimitri Simes sent Jared Kushner a “Russia policy memo” laying out “what Mr. Trump may want to say about Russia.” Simes meeting with Kushner: “it was bad optics for the campaign to develop hidden Russian contacts.”
