Lawsuits against Trump University claim students paid thousands for nothing

The lawsuit alleges that the for-profit university’s promises that advanced students could make tens of thousands of dollars each month were bogus, and that the school instead left many in debt.

Trump has argued that he can’t be held personally liable because he didn’t run daily operations at the university — although he says he did handpick the instructors. He also disagreed with allegations that the program was worthless.

In a television interview, one of Trump’s lawyers said the students failed to reap any benefits because of their own ineptitude, not because of the program.

Rubio alleged: “There are people who borrowed $36,000 to go to Trump University, and they’re suing now — $36,000 to go to a university that’s a fake school. And you know what they got? They got to take a picture with a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump. That’s what they got for $36,000.”

Now haven't we all seen ads that say we could learn the secret to making $10,000 a month? That all we had to do was go to this seminar or enroll in this online class. and it only cost.....................

Should these people who believed Donald Trump and got swindled get their money back? Come on, who believes you can go to a seminar and then make thousands of dollars? You'd have to be a tard.

But knowing what he has done, if you vote for him, does that make you a ............................well, you know.

Welcome to the general election.

Sounds like a typical college to me.

I have heard his "school" and I use the term loosely, has a 98% approval rating. You show me ANY other business that has an approval rating that high. OR show me that the above stat is incorrect.

Anybody ever hear of a Sanders or a Clinton university? Socialists don't educate people and the Clintons apparently pocket most of the money from their "foundation". Another indictment for Hillary?

Sounds like a bunch of politically motivated whining to me. Just about all universities or training institutes say things like "you can/could make more money after taking our training." "Can" and "could," not "will."

People take classes all the time from schools that are not yet accredited.

For that matter, many people who take classes from accredited schools don't finish and/or can't find their dream job afterward and/or complain that they didn't get their money's worth.

Unless Trump U. made false claims about their accreditation or about employment after graduation, there is no case here.

I've been to seminars where at the end, they give everyone a card and ask how good the speaker was. If the speaker was personable, they probably easily got a 98% rating.
But that doesn't mean the bill of goods they were selling got a 98% rating. Come on, you know that.

Did you bother to go through your link and read everything?

I did.

Look at the three posted articles written by Fox contributors from the New York Post. Did they even mention Trump University. It was all very confusing. Go back and read it.

with a 98% approval rating 100's or 1000's of reviews should show up.

Got any Gramps?

let me say it again because clearly you didn't get it the first time:

Don't you Republicans feel that if you are stupid enough to be taken in, you get what you deserve?
