The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned Americans Monday that as COVID-19 restrictions are dropped, there is an increased risk for mass shootings.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned Americans on Monday that as COVID-19 restrictions are dropped, there is an increased risk for “acts of violence” such as mass shootings.
“The United States Remains in a
heightened threat environment fueled by several actors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories,” the DHS warned.
“As COVID-19 restrictions continue to decrease nationwide, increased access to commercial and government facilities and the rising number of mass gatherings could provide increased opportunities for individuals looking to commit acts of violence to do so, often with little or no warning,” the bulletin says.
“Meanwhile. COVID-19 mitigation measures – particularly COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates – have been used by domestic violent extremists to justify violence since 2020 and could continue to inspire these extremists to target government, healthcare, and academic institutions that they associate with those measures,” it continues.

Looks to me like what is happening is that the fear of COVID-1984 is fading, and corrupt politicians are losing the grip on power that they gained by stirring up this fear. Desperate to hang on to that power, it seems that they are now trying to generate fear of right-wing terrorism, in the hope that this will allow them to hang on to and abuse this power for a while longer.

The beauty of it is this.

If there any incidences of anything even remotely close to sctsnof violence they will blow it out of proportion and make it seem like a big deal which will give them the excuse they want to enforce more laws and take more control.

If they are so inclined they could manufacturer a incident and say "look we told you so" and swoop in to take more control.

And if nothing happens they can say "ok nothing happened because we took care of everything" and pat themselves on the back.

They can't lose with a move like that. It makes for an easier spin later on.
