I just hate when people lie, Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative. She's got a burr up her ass based on her "beliefs", which I have shown her could very well be wrong. I don't want government workers scamming anyone, but as a former government contractor who worked strange hours and worked from home during COVID, I find some of her accusations laughable.

For example, if she was watching my daughter's habits, would she be upset when my daughter works from home when the weather is bad and her bosses tells her to not take the risk of driving in because she works over the internet in her office anyway and it's a nearly 90-minute commute?

I worked for the government from 4pm to midnight and worked from home for about 9 months during COVID. We held a Zoom meeting at the beginning of each workday at 3:30 each day to send out information.

How would she know that?

Nobody is lying. I’ve lived in and near DC all my life, and they’ve been scamming the taxpayer for decades. It’s just that it has gotten so blatant in the last years, and these entitles government workers think they’re ENTITLED to work from home and goof off half the day, and still get a full day’s pay.

Reminds me of a joke from decades ago: How many people work at your agency? A: Oh, about half of them. Truer words were never spoken.

I know people who go in to the office one day a week (one person I know goes in once every other week), and they ***** and complain about how much the one day “interferes” with their work. They take tennis lessons, go on walks, go to the gym, lie out by the pool, and worse….go on ski vacations, visit relatives across the country, even go on international vacations - all without taking leave.

The government is bloated, and everyone knows it. No one has said you didn't work Admiral; but what everyone IS saying is that the federal workforce is waaaaaaaay to big for what it does.

I am 100% positive that there are civil servants who work extremely hard, just as I am positive that there are people GAMING the system, doing absolutely next to nothing. This is NOT Admirals fault, my fault, Lisa's fault, Trump's fault, or the tooth fairies' fault either. But, it is going to shrink, no matter who/whom likes it or not! Not only that........but because of union rules, I am less than confident that they will get RID OF THE USELESS people. But, if they continue to be useless, I DO have confidence, they will be gone within 18 to 24 months! I was witness to this at union shops before. Once it is obvious that all the bitching is not going to save anyone, then the REAL workers will start throwing the grifters under the bus. Watch!

The DHS official caught on undercover video admitting the department will defy newly-appointed DHS Chief Kristi Noem is now under investigation and his firing is imminent.
Noem has vowed to shut down Biden and Mayorkas’ CBP One “concierge service” to facilitate mass illegal immigration.
During her hearing before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Noem promised to “make sure that our nation is a nation with borders” and that she will enforce consequences against Biden’s criminal aliens.
Noem is also going to go after the NGOs that are funding the invasion.

When necessary, firing openly insubordinate employees is an effective way of showing just what interpretation of policies is acceptable. Wright made it necessary, too bad, so sad.
I think back to the Roman Military method of restoring discipline and order called "Decimation."

You just are ignorant on that topic and do not even consider you could be in error. besides, everyone is going back to work anyway.

In fact, we could have returned to work after COVID, but our worksite was damaged by a major water leak and the decision was made to work at home until a new facility could be arranged. I worked for home for almost another year after that. I actually did go into our office to resign when I got sick.
