Number 1: In order to destroy someone's reputation, the DemoCrat #1 rule is to pick out the most outrageous

The criminal conspirator against the McMartin Child Care Facility was a little short of money and didn't want to pay her bill to the McMartin Day Care Center. She hated the reminders she was getting so much, that she decided no punishment was too evil for them to get saddled with. So in her schizophrenic, offbeat mind, she figured a little lie would do the trick. Since her inhouse boyfriend/acquaintance, also broke, took physical liberties with her daughter, the kid's anatomy told that she had been sexually penetrated. She decided that to get even with her annoyers, they would become her daughter's accused abusers, so she turned in the son of Mrs. MacMartin, and he was jailed until he could prove his innocence, which unbeknownst to any of them was 10 years into the future.
The authorities accepted this crazy woman's false witness testimony and made it public to everyone in the community that you didn't want to take your children nor leave your children in the care of the evil McMartin family's Day Care Center because a child had been severely and maliciously sexually abused in every orifice of her body.
But that wasn't the end of it. It became a national point of hostile anger overnight, and people were mad as hell that a California certified child care center had sex Zombies on their payroll, one the owner's son.
During the trial, psychologists took all the children who went there and not only gave them tests, made sure their testimony would place the McMartins all in jail for the rest of their miserable lives. The coached and cajoled the children into various confessions, because initial denials had to be, just had to be shame and reluctance, so they invented things the children would be rewarded for if they coughed up what prosecutors wanted to hear.
Several of the children stuck to their "it didnt' happen to me" stories, which got them parked on the shelf on trial days. They roasted and toasted the McMartin family to a crisp with all these suppositions and child testimonies, although some children at the trial said they didn't think that it happened because they had always been treated well by Mrs. McMartin and everybody at the facility. It took year after year after year after year, and never a real decision could be made. There were many kids recanting their stories because they were stories, and not real, and no evidence was seen about physical rapes of the kids, which sure did slow the trail down as it seemed more and more that no child other than the first one had ever been molested. After 10 years, the McMartin son was released for lack of any true testimony matching the childrens' quite normal and untouched bodies, and their childlike friendliness to the McMartins, now publicly drawn, hanged, and disgraced for eterenity, during the trial.
