Perhaps Americans don’t trust the vaccine because for the past year and a half Donald Trump told them that covid was a “hoax”. Trump said it would all disappear like magic. It was nothing to be worried about so why bother with a vaccine.

The other part of it is that even Republicans don’t trust Trump to be honest with them about anything. They don’t trust the vaccines because Trump pushed so be hard to get them out fast.

Everyone who has ever trusted Trump has gotten screwed without the benefit of a kiss. They’re not trusting him now on the vaccines.

When you spend six years or longer, telling people not to trust the government, it’s hardly surprising that people don’t trust the government.
