Looks like the tolerant left again has decided that PA laws only apply when they want them to.

Dershowitz Takes Issue With Farmers' Market After Pierogi Denial

He alleged that he tried to order the dumplings at Good Pierogi during the weekly Wednesday market, before the person at the stand refused to do business with him due to Mr. Dershowitz’s politics.

“He said at one point he didn’t like the people I defended,” said Mr. Dershowitz, who has represented O.J. Simpson, Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump. “A lot of people don’t like the people I’ve represented, but they don’t refuse to serve me. And I said ‘That was pure McCarthyism.’

Ethan Buchanan-Valenti, the manager of the farmers’ market, offered a brief statement on the incident.

“The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market is committed to supporting local agriculture and business — and that means not only supporting our vendors, but our patrons as well,” he wrote. “We are reviewing our own internal bylaws to make sure everyone at the market is always being respected and their rights protected.”

And before people try to call me a hypocrite for my views on PA's when it comes to things like contracted services, this is an ACTUAL PA. A point of sale item in public.

If Mass law considers political views a protectable class, the vendor and the market are in trouble.

I believe the cop explains to him why it's not illegal to sell Jeffrey Epsteins buddy and defender a Pierogi.

He explained it. Listen to the explanation. Why you feel the need to defend this creep makes me wonder.

Cops can be wrong you know.

If Mass PA law covers political views, the cop is an idiot and doesn't know the law.

You'd never catch me at one of those "farmer's market." They're always infested with leftists, the prices are stupidly high, and those "organic" farmers probably poop in a five gallon bucket and use it for fertilizer.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
No Soup for YOU Alan

The ones down south are better. One I attended near Destin Florida had a Butcher booth selling meat, up to like 1/2 hog and 1/4 steert by order.

If you are a PA you can't do that for protected reasons.
If they refused service because Dershowitz was a Jew they would be violating PA

They can refuse service because they think Dershowitz is a jerk

In NY you can't discriminate due to political views, and this is obviously over political views.

Trying to figure out if Mass has the same thing.

Up here in SW Wisconsin the only things you'll find are overpriced vegetables and a shitload of Amish baskets and pickled stuff in a jar. Our weekly market out in the field across the street from the Kwik Trip is primarily a Democrat affair. It's even held on a plot of land that had Kamala Harris signs all over it during the last election. I wouldn't give those bastards a dime of my money.

The officer asks Mr. Dershowitz to stop standing at the front of the stand as other customers come up and also notes that because the stand was a private establishment, they had the right to refuse service.

“They have the right to refuse customers of their choosing,” the officer can be heard saying

You would think a lawyer of his standing would understand the law

They are a public accommodation, an actual public accommodation.

The officer is wrong.

Even the farmers market themselves realize this isn't good, if you read their statement.

Massachusetts PA Law

Discrimination is prohibited on account of:
  • Race, color, religious creed
  • National origin or ancestry
  • Sex (including pregnancy/family status)
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity or expression
  • Age
  • Disability (including physical and mental impairments, as defined broadly by Massachusetts law)
  • Additional protections include parental leave, genetic information, veteran status, and public assistance status

Do you know that the late Victoria Guiffre said she was told to have sex with Dershowitz six times? They both sued each other over this, not sure of the outcome, or how this was settled.

Dershowitz is a sick pedophile.

They realize a high powered attorney like Dershowitz can tie them up in court and put them out of business.

They are just covering their asses

Restaurants can refuse service, yes indeed.
You are right. And the areas affected with government employee help have total power as fascists. I would suggest go straight to a lawyer and do not think any way different.
