The issue is real simple: Trump's AI sucks.

Reality?

1. The only way the Prez is getting lists of hundreds of thousands of people to deport, is with AI.
2. AI makes ==> lots of mistakes. Way more than a jury of 12 peers. Way, way more. Ten times more. At least.
3. The AI that's being used, wasn't trained on the edge cases. Which are numerous, several dozen occur every week. Like this one:

I'm afraid, from my detached libertarian perspective, that ICE is after the numbers and doesn't pay much attention to the exonerating evidence.

This is bad optics, and Trump needs to fix this. Even if he has to bring Elon back (if Elon will even come). Otherwise this is going to fester and the Dems will use it against him, effectively. And against all the midterm candidates in his camp, which includes some significant seats this time around.

**** the midterms. Deport them all or we wont have a nation anymore.

Democrats are extremely short sighted in their desperate bid to gain power. They think that if they keep flooding in more illegals, EVENTUALLY they will get just enough votes to legalize them all. The moment that happens, they will instantly have an unbeatable voting block and that will be the end of our two party system. They will have a complete lock on all elections going forward, especially after they give Puerto Rico statehood.

Then what happens? Do conservative states say, "well, i guess you beat us. We have no choice but to go along with every shitty progressive law that you shackle us with." NO! That isnt what they are going to say. They will simply secede and that will be the end of the US.

Deport them all or we are finished, and this isnt some distant future event. Its going to happen within 20 years.

So you would have us believe that stupid ICE picked him up because he was black and now refuse to admit their mistake and are stubbornly are deporting a US citizen?

Is that the lie you are asking us to accept?

I think I know what you mean by "edge case" but I'm not sure how that term applies to the article you cited.

Wade's path to deportation began on Sept. 13, 2025, when he was pulled over for failing to use a turn signal in Conyers. He was arrested for driving without a license. Soon after, ICE detained him due to a 2014 removal order stemming from a 2007 bounced check and a 2006 simple assault charge.

Are an unlimited number of crimes to be forgiven, including - or maybe especially - unlawful entry so long as one served - or claims to have served - in the armed forces?

AI may well be used to compile lists, but it is human immigrations judges who make decisions about deportations. They should do that by applying the law, not by reading sob sister articles on CBS.

If Democrats and "not Democrats" don't like the immigration laws, they should lobby their party or "not their Party" to drop the woke insanity so they can win elections again and change the immigration law.

Wait. You don’t think ICE is capable of doing that?

Dumbass sycophant

I know that they did not do that in this case

ICE agents didnt randomly grab a black man off the street for no reason

You are promoting a lie

Came here legally. Served on the Army. Been here 50 years. Raised a family. No felony record.

Yeah

They’re deporting the “worst of the worst”

Sure

Is that the lie you are asking us to accept?

I'm not asking you to accept anything.

All I'm saying is bad optics. Servicemen, five year old kids, autistic women in wheelchairs... really?

Yeah, bad optics. That can't continue, the midterms are right around the corner.

Popular belief is everything, it drives votes. The truth doesn't matter, it's what you believe that matters. Stuff like this is more than enough to sway belief. The combined forces of the MSM, the print press, and the internet will jump all over stuff like this and make our lives miserable for the next two years

I'm not asking you to accept it, I'm asking you to fix it!

Trump would have to get rid of Steven Miller to do that

As he won’t

I call this an edge case because of the guy's age and because of the nature of the crimes.

That’s hard to tell.

It’s not like ICE is being careful or transparent

They are reasonably transparent. It's hard to hide an arrest.

Careful is number one staying alive. This is a different problem. It's a bureaucratic thing, like bad data. It could be fixed.

It may be bad optics if the public is ignorant of whats going on

The headline is that a black US Army vet who may not even have been honorably discharged that was randomly swept off the street and held in detention for 5 months

I’m sure many even assume he’s a US citizen or at least a legal permanent resident

But in fact he’s neither

He has a deportation order signed by a judge that dates from before Trump took office

ICE’s problems are not “bureaucracy”, and not optics. It a culture

They are sloppy, arrogant, poorly trained, and lead to believe they are beyond accountability

Where in the world did you get this notion that scruffy was talking about him being deported because of his skin color???? What's up with that...?

Basically, he said A/I can't rationalize where there should or could be an exception....(though humans can't either, some times).

When has this man who honorably served our country in our military for decades committed a violent crime?

How does this man fit in to the violent rapists and child abusers and murderers constantly said to us that ICE is capturing and deporting.... and protesters are stopping.... that Trump and all of you REPEAT AD NAUSEAM?

This man who served us, was NOT in any way a violent criminal that you claim is who ICE is deporting. That's just a flat out lie. Only 7% of those being captured and deported are violent criminals is what I just read.

And we have 76000 people in detention centers that we can't deport until they get their lawfully required due process....

And again we don't have enough immigration judges to hear their cases so we are going to be spending millions a year holding them in captivity....and 7 more new detention centers, (concentration camps?) are being built for maybe millions more that will be held.....on our tax dime.

This is NOT a thought out plan and is costing us an absolute fortune

I want the Prez to go after the real criminals.

From an optical standpoint, no one's going to complain about heavy handed tactics if the perps are provably rapists and murderers.

This guy... bounced check and simple assault. Simple assault means he beat someone up, right? That's all they got, in 50 years?

To me, that would be low priority. Probably even sufficient grounds for appeal. I want the gangsters, the perverts, the kiddie rapists, the people who throw rocks off overpasses.... Surely there's enough people like that on the list.

I’m actually with you there. I have no problem with deporting violent criminals.

Never have

In fact that’s who USED to be the target

Point taken

scruffy never said that

It's costing us an absolute fortune

You do have a point.

Maybe we can get some revenue out of this. We could sell them to China for slave labor. Wait ... they have enough. Oh well, we'll think of something. ;)
