In the process, she loses a shoe and is eventually assisted in escaping to a waiting car by the event’s security volunteers, at which point the video feed ends. Malkin was understandably distraught at this unanticipated violent turn of events and expressed frustration that Denver police, who were visibly present in the area, did nothing to stop the attacks or to allow the peaceful pro-police rally to continue.

Usually police forces try to keep both sides separate, however here the Denver PD evidently decided to let counter-protesters disrupt the stage of the pro-police event, and did not respond when things went south.

When the authorities appear to take sides like this, trust is lost and people will start taking measures to defend themselves. It's going to get bad because the usual suspects still think they can get away with doing crap like this.

Well more Citizens should stand up for the Police. I have seen white women screaming at Black Policemen and calling them names. I've seen videos are cops being spit on and things thrown at them. It makes me sick. This is EXACTLY how protestors treated Vietnam Vets in the 1960s'. Have Activists got no heart at all?

Not ALL cops are Bad and the way they are being treated right now is disgusting. They are human beings. Any chance a citizen gets we should stand up for them. Can you imagine leaving your family each morning going to work with the idea that you could get killed in the line of duty and because of a bad cop now MOBS are attacking you. Mobs are emotionally disturbed and your own city you service stands by and lets it happen and not only that encourages and supports it. Plus they want to cut your pay.

Do you know what cops need? They need to be supported by the rest of society and by their own government. Maybe some recognition that their job is not easy and that some policies and training could help weed out bad cops.

How do you show support for cops when the local government is just going to allow chaos?

One way might be to vote out all those pieces of sit who put the boys in blue in so much distress without any care.

Is it really "usual" any more? Seems usual for dem mayors to order the cops to let the mobs have their way, and people either get hurt or fight back.

If the left keeps this up they may learn the hard way that the police aren't just there to protect us from criminals, they are also there to protect criminals from us.

And I would question if blocking traffic isn't attacking people. What if in the cars being blocked and jammed in, there is a pregnant women racing to the hospital ? What if someone is sick or bleeding in one of those cars ? What if a fire truck is among the vehicles being blocked ? Or police cars ?

And the people waiting for those police cars and fire truck - might we not say they are being "attacked" in some way ? (with the consent of the mayor)

Where I live (Tampa, FL) the mayor, a few years ago, allowed BLM to block traffic for 2 hours. Lucky for him (a Democrat of course), nobody died.
