Thoughts From an Independent

Democrats, I know you're giddy with anticipation for November to get here. The House will almost certainly flip Blue, while the outcome of Senate races is anyone's guess. But - If your agenda is that good, why aren't you folks more popular? Here are some thoughts from the partisan middle (and don't forget, WE decide elections in this country!)

1. Drop this sanctuary cities nonsense. Federal immigration laws need to be followed and setting up safe zones for illegal immigrants is breaking the law.

2. Stop pandering to every racial and sexual minority. Working class white males used to make up most of your base, but many have left for the GOP because you feel the need to vilify them.

3. Stop the crazy spending. You whine about the "borrow and spend Republicans "but being the "tax and spend Democrats" is nothing more than the pot calling the kettle black.

4. Too many voices. Bill Clinton once said: "Getting Democrats to agree on a course of action is like herding cats" Shorten up your message and speak with one voice. Right now, you're all over the map.

I'm not totally on board with either side right now, but rather than slinging mud at President Trump, trying to discredit him (He's already doing to himself) I would look in your own backyard, ask why you've lost so many times, and clean up your own mess.

Those are the facts, Jack. Just the facts! :45:

Illegal immigration, losing millions of jobs to China without a concern, losing your Middle Class to allies without addressing unfair practices in trade, pursuing policies designed to allow for global socialism, government spending and grifting. The Clinton presidency would have been viewed as too extreme since his party went so far left.

The weaponization of PC/Identity Politics after Obama won not only set the party back years, it helped usher in Trumpism.

A pox on both houses. We have to fix this system, soon.
It was Biden who took it to the next, far more damaging level, and he was likely unaware of it even happening as his cabinet of ultra leftists pushed transgenderism into the mainstream, and it proved to be very unpopular with a clear majority of Americans.

Democrats are just as responsible for Trump as MAGA is.

We always say "This is the best government money can buy." but we never take the next step to ask "well then, who bought the government?" Then we need to take the nest step, which is a massive leap for some, and realize that if they bought the government, then the government is most likely working for them, not us. What we get is political theater to convince us that the government works for us and we then continue to believe the illusion of democracy. Those that bought the government thought that Identity Politics would work and told the dumocraps to shove it down our throats. That got us Trump. Now the owners of the government want Trump gone and are deciding the next plan for the dumocraps. The problem is they still have to maintain the illusion of democracy.
