Wow, Kent State is exactly what I thought of yesterday when I read that Trump has armed the National Guard that is patrolling DC.

Trump is an evil man.

This paranoia, is it really really real? Or is it hyperbole for the interwebs? I can't tell.

Yeah, Trump supporters for the most part absolutely detest the Black Lives Matter protestors, maybe that's what he's hoping he can stir up as an excuse to shot shooting people in streets.

What does DOGE need with social security number of Americans?!?

1. They're worth money when sold on the dark web
2. It's not just social security numbers, the SSA also has bank account info so they can direct deposit the benefits of those receiving SS
3. The SSA also handles claims for those on disability who receive benefits so their records include what would normally be private health information (PHI) and thereby protected by HIPAA but apparently when filing any types of medical claims for long or short term disability, one has to waive their privacy rights under HIPAA.

What does the airline need with your social security number when selling you a ticket ?

Point is there are lots of entities that have our social security number and most of them likely don't really need to have it to provide us their goods/services.

This was a new story that I heard on the radio today. They made it seem as if this was a new development.

This was discussed when doge was running roughshod over everything, but maybe people didn't know for sure they had done it. maybe it was just speculation at the time.

Anywho, I consider musk's little pets having it to mean it's already "hacked".

Airlines do not take yer Social Security number to fly. Neither my doctors nor my dentist has my Social Security number.

It appears the social security database was uploaded to an unsecure cloud server. This could expose about 300 million people to wide spread identity theft. I heard on the radio earlier that, IF bad actors were able to access this data, ot would mean the government would have to issue a new social security number to everyone in the country.

Now, how likely is it that the information could be hacked? Its doubtful nobody knows.

While I agree with the premise of what doge was doing, trying to cut waste in the government, ill admit that it appears they didnt know what they were doing. This could be bad for most Americans if the worst happens.

Yet another case of "could".

They lie constantly in service of the Washington Establishment, of which they are a part. They rob you blind and yet you support them while hating the people who are actually trying to protect you.

Cutting waste, making things efficient is a good thing.

Doing it badly is not. It doesn't make things more efficient, it leads to people having to spend loads of money later on.

It's like cutting funding from roads, and then they get pot holes and then people end up paying loads of money to fix their cars. It's not efficient, even if the politicians say it is.

Labeling essential government services "waste" is a bad thing that will need to be undone.
