Those things shouldn't surprise you at all. I don't think any of the lefties on this board could have conceived of anything but a Harris victory.
The way dems speak of the voters is exactly how they've been speaking about their opponents for a couple decades now, they just got a lot more shrill when Trump entered the arena.
They always act like they are the only ones who understand any given issue, and their policies are the only ones worth consideration, and it's always all or nothing.

I'm no Democrat but that does not leave me thinking Trump is any better, with lies going on you would not acknowledge. He is worse for environments for which we should have good stewardship, the world will worsen more from climate change, and there isn't any other more likely to pursue being a dictatorWith the historic wins of President Trump and Republicans nationwide, it should be time for a little reflective soul-searching on the part of Democrats. The signs are not promising, to say the least.

Again, that entire campaign was demonizing Trump and his supporters, which is on point with the rest of the left. But while their claim that Trump is the existential threat is intellectually vacuous and morally reprehensible, a lot of people believe it.
This will be hard to watch and ugly to withstand in the coming years, but a little Democratic Party suicide would be a good thing, because what appears to be the base of the party has gone off the rails of reality.
