This seems like bait but it's a serious question. What is going well, Democrats?

Are you winning on:

--Inflation
--The economy
--Foreign issues
--Defense
--The job market
--Healthcare
--Immigration
--Education
--Cultural issues

The midterms are just over a year away. Will your entire platform continue to be "We hate Trump" or do you plan to roll out a platform on issues?

(There's tons of articles about how the Dems are faltering, written in liberal media outlets. The following is just one.)

Trump has screwed up most of the things on your list.

Trump has screwed up most of the things on your list.
That’s a bold claim—mind if we pump the brakes and check the mirrors first?
  • Jobs are actually growing, and unemployment’s holding low. If that’s “screwed up,” I’d hate to see what “fixed” looks like.
  • The economy’s still chugging along, even if it’s not exactly a joyride. Credit’s shared, blame too.
  • And inflation? That beast started snarling back in 2021. Blaming Trump for that is like blaming the guy who moves into a house for the plumbing problems the last tenant left behind.
Totally fair to call out policies you don’t like—but saying he broke most of the list is doing a little too much heavy lifting. Let’s talk specifics—what’s the part you think he actually made worse?

So, confirmation from one Dem: all they have is Trump hatred.
There is more to it than that. Congress becoming trump's rubber stamp for horrendous changes figures into it too. Right wingers voted to pass trump's bill while making public statements about how bad the bill was. because they feared trump having them primaried. We don't have a king, but that orange ass hole is able to rule like one with their help.

The topic of this thread is what do you have going for you. An example would be, "We have good ideas on inflation; here is what I mean".

When you keep referencing Trump, you're just restating that he is all you have.

Thank you so much for your help and concern for Democratic politics, but if you don't mind, we'll make our own decisions.

Again, thank you for your input, but **** off. Worry about your own shit.

Here, I'll give you an example:

The Trump administration has brought illegal border crossings almost to zero, and it deporting criminal illegals and others who are here fraudulently. I wish the Republicans would work with him to make sure businesses don't hire illegals as well. Also, Trump wants birthright citizenship to end.

Your ideas on immigration here, and how the Democrats will sell it:

This is in the Clean Debate Zone, and I put it here to get away from insults--not because they bother me, but I want your ideas.
Then I won't tell you to **** off, but you really have no place in Democratic politics. Do you think anybody is going to take your advice

So you want to remain insular and inconsequential.

It has happened anyway, but I was trying to give you a chance

I've noticed the same thing playing out for years now. The Right—flawed as it may be—usually focuses on issues: jobs, inflation, border security, etc. Meanwhile, a lot of the Left’s energy still seems aimed at Trump himself, like he's some kind of political solar eclipse they can’t stop staring at.

But here’s the problem: regular people care more about rent, groceries, and paychecks than about whether Trump said something spicy on Truth Social. When the focus is always on Trump instead of real-world issues, it starts to sound like you’ve got nothing else to offer—and that’s how people start tuning you out.

If the Left wants to win people over, it’s got to stop making everything about Trump and start showing folks how their policies help everyday Americans. You don’t win hearts and minds by shouting about the orange guy—you win by proving you care about the person struggling to fill their gas tank.

Trump's unthinking hateful actions on those issues generates the hate.

Careful

The Golden One is wrestling with inescapable literal bankruptcy .
And when he does Re- Set the financial system there will be a tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth .

Not here perhaps , where it will be more a case of smashed dentures .
