One of the things Democrats constantly cried about during Donald Trump’s first presidential administration was how he was upsetting so many “norms” in Washington. “Norms” refers to the normal expectations for how things are done. During Trump’s first term, Democrats routinely engaged their fainting couches with the backs of their wrists pressed to their foreheads over things Trump said or how he said them.

But as Democrats congratulate themselves for not objecting to the results of an election they clearly lost, it is important to remember that was not always how they behaved. In fact, it’s not how they’ve behaved at all in recent years. In that sense, they are very much like they insist Trump is when it comes to “norms.”

Democrats should worry about their message, better yet have a message that voters care about.

One norm MAGA is ignoring is use of the military. What happened to the outrage over we saw when Jade Helm was in operation? That was just an exercise, not a full-fledged operation with promises of more, like we’re seeing now.

There was never a Congressional challenge in any of those years. Al Gore, the loser in 2000, gabled down the House members who were out of order because their challenge was not valid. Joe Biden did the same thing to House Democrat when they tried the same out of order stunt in 2016.

The author would have us believe an election so close, and legitimately contested, it had to be decided by the SC when it wrongly ordered the recount to stop, is analogous to the 2020 election?
