Politicians throw out the word "cult" mostly when they are out of ideas. Republicans defend Sinema and hypocrite democrats who depended on the filibuster for decades, target her for being an attractive (genetic) woman) and telling the truth. What else is new?

I am no fan of the filibuster as is presently practiced as a made up rule. It is mentioned nowhere in the constitution and never existed in any form until 1806. I like it as practiced in the movie Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and would have no problem with somebody holding the floor to get their point across, ending in a vote, but just to say "I plan to filibuster, so there can be no vote or taking an extra 10 to pass is stupid, undemocratic in nature and too easily negates the idea that elections have consequences.
