Democrats block bill to pay federal employees during shutdown

Senate Democrats blocked a proposal by Republicans on Friday to pay all federal employees throughout the duration of the government shutdown.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) attempted to get unanimous consent to pass his legislation to pay federal workers — both those who are working and those who are furloughed — and military members as long as the impasse drags on.

Blah, same old song and dance with the dems.....Using workers as pawns some kind of bogus "leverage" move.

Meh, as far as I am concerned it can stay shutdown till dem voters themselves hold their dem Senate member's feet to the fire.

The vile dems are truly a cult......Just take the NOtVA fed workers that voted for vile dems in huge numbers.

They should be burning up Warner's and Kaine's phone lines demanding them to reopen the .gov. but it's crickets. Never mind the limp-dick sounding union message.

The next step to light a fire under their asses should be for "King Trump" to make them use vacation time to make their pay whole when/if the .gov reopens.....No vacation time, no pay.

Starting Monday, they need to take away Congress salary. Most of them are rich SOB's so it won't affect them that much.
