The ideas they have are definitely too close to a Socialist itinerary. Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, whose state is a key battleground in the presidential election, said Friday he had seen no evidence to support Trump's claim Thursday evening of fraud in balloting.

Now, sane and sensible patriots in the GOP denounce the hysterical ravings of fanatical crackpots who have infested and perverted their Party, turning it into a truth-hating cult of trumpery.

Top Republicans blasted Trump's baseless claims that the election is being stolen from him through imaginary illegal actions by unidentified naughty people.

While many are still too embarrassed and/or timid to speak out, some have had their fill:

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT), in a statement posted to Twitter, said the president was "right" to "exhaust legal remedies," including asking for recounts and that alleged voting irregularities be investigated, but "wrong to say that the election was rigged, corrupt and stolen."

"Doing so damages the cause of freedom here and around the world, weakens the institutions that lie at the foundation of the Republic and recklessly inflames destructive and dangerous passions."

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) says Trump's claims of "large-scale fraud and theft of the election are just not substantiated."

Chris Christie, Republican Trump Advisor: "We heard nothing today about any evidence... This kind of thing, all it does is inflame without informing. And we cannot permit inflammation without information."

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R), said there is "no defense" for Trump "undermining our Democratic process... America is counting the votes, and we must respect the results as we always have before. No election or person is more important than our Democracy."

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Il-R) tweeted that “if you have legit concerns about fraud present EVIDENCE and take it to court. STOP Spreading debunked misinformation... This is getting insane!”

Gov. Phil Scott (VT-R) on Trump's tantrum: “Absolutely shameful!”
