The house bill HR2 couldn't and didn't do that either....

The President could declare an emergency. Also ,He could refuse all trade with Mexico till THEY stop the caravans.

There has been a need for immigration reform for decades. And every single time one comes up for a vote, the bigots kill it.

Hell, when the 2014 Republican House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor, tried and failed, he was primaried out of office during the next election cycle. And there went the one and only Republican Jewish member of the House.

Trump never bothered, despite there being an overwhelming need for reform.

That doesn't address anything about what I said about how the Biden administration said for the first three years that the border was secure. BTW, since I think you're referring to the republicans as the "bigots", then there is a border security bill that has been sitting in the Senate passed by those "bigots" that Sen. Schumer won't bring to the Senate floor. Also, immigration reform and border security aren't completely one and the same. I think that before you start reforms, you have to stop the flow. Kind of like before one figure out how to remove water from one's basement, you need to stop the water from coming in the basement first.

For all of these Democrats and their supporters blaming all of the border problems on Trump for not supporting this bipartisan legislation, can any of you explain why and how $60B in aid is part of this bill? How is $60B to the Ukraine going to make the US Southern Border safer?
