Midcan started a thread on Republican morality, which has been an interestind discussion. So I was thinking why don't we ever talk about Democrat morality?

And then I realized, I have no clue what morals Democrats have. So what is Democrat morality?

I have HEARD it's things like striving for a world where every child who is born is wanted, and making sure that they all have enough to eat, a roof over their head, basic healthcare and a quality education.

Oh and ending wars which seem to be about oil.

Democratic morality is whatever morality a given democrat may have. Otherwise for democrats, unlike republicans, it’s a non-issue.

Because republicans make an issue of morality, social conservatives and Christian fundamentalists in particular – indeed, many republicans try to use the ‘moral issue’ (aka ‘family values&#8217 as a political weapon. Many republicans try to imply that democrats have no values or morality in an attempt to attack a given democratic candidate or democrats in general, when in fact democrats are just as moral as republicans.

Consequently, when a republican candidate/politician engages in immoral behavior, the GOP as a whole is justly subject to ridicule.

Why do you ask why I give a flying? Did I say I gave a flying?

I was simply trying to relay the answers I've heard from some Democrats when they've taken on the values question. They have made the contrast between certain traditional takes on values and where they place their concern. I conveyed what I heard.






I'm mostly a live and let live person. I believe in God and identify with a fairly traditional religion but I believe that in the end people will be judged by how well they adhered to their own sense of right and wrong - not to mine.

Well, according to my understanding from conservatives talk show hosts.

Democrat morality is any inane philosophy or random act that will undermine disrupt, or destroy our nation security, freedom and estaablished capitalists institutions.

In a nutshell, Democrats are supporters of anarchy and communism and appeases enemies of the state.

Of course, it is not good to ask one side about what their opponents stand for. So the above may be wrong.

Democrat voters have morals but they vote in leaders that don't.

They tend to be more open to suggestion then Republicans.

Their minds are easily changed.....at least most of them.

I wouldn't lump the voters into the same group with the silly fuckwads they tend to vote for. If they said the snorted coke they'd call them brave. If they said they're Gay they'd support them all the same, calling them hip. Democrats love winners regardless of how they win. The ends justify the means to them.

They would vote for any butt-reaming asshole as long as he tried to save a tree or acted like have gave one hairy poop about children. Course it's all a sham, but Dem voters tend to fall for their crap repeatedly.
