Politics Playing Ping-Pong

The Democratic presidential candidate only won one state in 1972 and 1984, yet the Party, with no real attempt to dump its New Age toxic waste, bounced back in 1976, 1992, 1996, 2008, and 2012. Despite revisionist short-memory history, there were no significant changes made, so today's party doesn't need to change its ways either. The Liberal poison seeps into each new generation, making it seem like it's getting worse but it's actually only been making its victims weaker so they can gradually put up with ever higher doses of its mutant degeneracy.

The Conservative antidote is a cheap, selfish, and lazy alternative. A lot of that has to do with its self-appointed leaders pushing a timid complacency meant to tone down their forever-patient supporters. Every time the electorate switches sides, the Republicans smugly preach that the Democrats are destroying themselves, so nothing has to be done to finish them off.

1). Either they will eventually lose out to favor in society to gradually whither away.

2). They will succeed in annihilating their competition, the Republicans, in which case they will no longer have anyone to vent on, no one to blame, no one to polarize groups of people into little tribes of victimhood and oppression for there will be no one else to blame for the woes of the world but them! At that point they will have no choice but to turn their anger inward and begin eating themselves.
