the legislation still hasn't been voted on. it was introduced in 2020... there's so many quality legislation that die in the Senate without even getting a vote. Schumer out, Mitch out...Rand Paul for Majority Leader...vote on the doggone bills!

They can help hospitals stay open by closing the southern border to uninsured sick folks.....

Money grab pure and simple.....Follow the money and take nothing at face value on this one.

Once the hospitals are boosted financially "non-profits" like Valley Medical swoop in and buy them up......I know of at least six hospitals in my greater AO that were absorbed by VM and in half of them they no longer have ICUs or maternity facilities.....Their transport arm takes them to facilities that do and charge medicare out the ass for the service.

Indeed, they are so mercenary that they threatened to sue local VFDs that used to provide non-emergency transport for 1/4th the price to help support their departments. A 22-mile $400.00 VFD ride has turned into a $1600.00 ride if VM does it.

Hell most are just "hospitals" in name only being mostly occupied by a emergency dept and large multi-doctor practices that also operate under the VH umbrella.
