(The Center Square) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency is under increasing scrutiny over its spending on migrants and diversity initiatives in light of recent questions about its funding for disaster relief for Americans.

The issue sprang to the forefront after Category 3 Hurricane Milton ripped through the southeastern U.S., wreaking havoc on homes, infrastructure, and leaving many dead.

In the aftermath of that hurricane and with the end of hurricane season more than a month away, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters that FEMA may not have enough funds to finish out the hurricane season.

"We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have," Mayorkas told reporters. "We are expecting another hurricane hitting. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season."

On top of that, as The Center Square previously reported, FEMA is currently investing in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, which it ranked as its number one goal in its most recent strategic report.

The second goal was climate resilience, followed by the third goal of being ready for emergencies.

"The White House is mismanaging our national agencies and priorities," Chance Layton, spokesperson for the National Association of Scholars told The Center Square. "FEMA should be focused on helping Americans respond to and recover from national emergencies, not on partisan social engineering. The Kamala/Biden administration's hyperfocus on DEI as a stand-in for illegal racial preferences actively harms Americans and remains a gross violation of our national principles."

Comment:
DEI is based on Left-Wing racial hatred stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination.
It has no place in government.
Eventually it will be sued into extinction.

Why does nobody connect the dots on DEI?

70% of Black children are born to single parent families, almost exclusively headed by an unmarried woman. Children growing up in such families are vastly more likely to,
  • Have trouble in school and ultimately drop out,
  • Have issues with substance abuse,
  • Have disproportionate interactions with law enforcement,
  • Was up in prison, and
  • Have illegitimate children of their own.
So when you are looking at, say, 13% of the overall population and hoping for 13% representation in college, employment, awards, and so on, you are totally ignoring the above set of facts. It cannot happen without dramatic levels of discrimination in their favor.

It’s not just “diversity” that is more important than saving lives, it’s ILLEGALS over citizens.

And that’s what we’ve been seeing - high levels of anti-white discrimination in order to arrive at equity in outcomes.

I agree with you that if your goal is to “equitize” outcomes between blacks and whites without blacks making changes to the underlying factors that account for those unequal outcomes - the 72% OOW birthrate, which in turn is associated with poverty and crime - the only way you get blacks to the same level of income, net worth, college graduates, etc., is by discriminating against whites.

The issue is when standards have to be lowered for DEI outcomes.

And that is what has been happening for decades. So instead of getting the best-qualified workforce, we get a “representational” workforce. And thus, we are not the best we can be, and America falls further behind.

….which may be why the America-hating left is pushing this.

If we're falling further behind, we must already be behind other nations. Can you name one?

I know you’re a Dem, but do you REALLY have that much disdain for America? The vast majority of countries are underdeveloped, 3rd world shitholes!
So, you can't name one other nation that we're behind, because of deflection?

A this has been ong debunked. Whites have had dramatic discrimination in their favor for now 248 years.

We have never had the most qualified workforce b. It has always been representational.

Whites like you do not think when you say things.
