'Defund the police' movement falls flat on its face...you'll never guess where.

The “defund the police” movement has crashed and burned in New York City, perhaps putting a welcome close to one of the dumber chapters in police reform debates.

Current Mayor Bill de Blasio had promised some $1.5 billion in cuts to the city’s police department, but few of those cuts came to fruition. Instead, de Blasio reversed the decision to scrap a new NYPD precinct in Southeast Queens. The city will now spend $105 million to build it.

Even mainstream Democrats aren't crazy enough to defund the cops...

The Gang-of-Four... AOC et al... and their lickspittle sissy-minions are full of $hit clean up to their ears...
We don’t need to defund the police, but we do need to reform them.

No we need people to obey the law and obey police officers.

The system works just fine for anyone who doesn't break the law. And of the thousands of arrests and interactions with police everyday across the country and few bad incidents is worth it for the greater good. You want to reform all police over problems with less than 1% of all arrests. And even most of those less than 1% of problems wouldn't have been a problem to begin with if they simply obeyed the law.

We spent a year screaming "**** the police" and now everyone wants to blame them instead of blaming people who broke the law.

Yet, they need the radicals, and support them in many of their actions, such as the widespread riots of the last 4 years.

The rightwing are the ones in control is why this is the case.

The rightwing has taken over NYC? No kidding.
LOL I agree. NYC is a bastion of the left and has been since Giuliani was mayor NY City. When the last time NY had a Rep as Governor??

NYC is crawling with lefty loons.
There is only ONE solution to cleaning up all the “lefty loons” in NYC, defund their police force.

Saves money and reduces the lefty loon population, two birds, one stone.

NEXT PROBLEM….

And that moron was running for president. Definition of democrat--CLUELESS.
He didn't get very far in the primaries so it is safe to say he is not the definition of a democrat. "Defund" was a stupid thing to say and I can't believe ANYONE really wanted to do it. What I think they meant, and with which I agree, is to REFORM policing. Demand national standards for training and procedures.

By your standards, Kameltoe isn't either eh? She was one of the first to drop out. So much for your flawed logic.
I didn't vote for her but she does check a lot of boxes and that is important to a lot of folks.

The wrong people will ALWAYS try to join LE, it is our job to weed them out. People on the extreme sides of center will always be the WRONG people.

No argument from me. Good luck incentivizing the right candidates to want the job...

In the current social climate--you couldn't pay me enough to join any law enforcement outside of WY, MT, ID, or FL.

If they wanted reform, they'd say reform.

They say defund.
