Defaced street surface causes loose traction

MIAMI - Black skid marks on an LGBTQ progress pride flag painted on a Fort Lauderdale beach street were done intentionally, according to Mayor Dean Trantalis.

"The fact that somebody thought it was necessary to express themselves that way goes to show we have a lot of work ahead of us in trying to diffuse hatred and bigotry in our community," Trantalis told South Florida newspaper, the Sun Sentinel.

Damage to the flag, at A1A and Sebastian Street, occurred on February 28th, according to Fort Lauderdale police.

CBS4 cameras spotted street surveillance cameras near the flag. It is not clear if these recorded who may have damaged it.

The incident is under investigation.

Maybe people are tired of having to see gay shit everywhere. Gays are a minority yet they get their shit advertised more than any other group. If you're gay and you want a sticker on your car, well that's your right to. But now both corporations and the government are shoving it in our faces and down our throats. You almost can't turn around or walk down the street without seeing it advertised, and in this case it's on public property which is partially owned by many people who probably don't like it. This public promotion of it is getting over the top.

Cities are really dumb to allow far left extremist groups to paint their graffiti on the public streets.
Soon other organization will be demanding to paint their gang signs on their street.
People are going to drive over it all of the time every day.
It is an invitation for trouble.
Or maybe that is what they want.......trouble..... and victimhood attention.
Let them paint their graffiti on private property not public property.
