Do you think that the law no longer applies to illegal immigrants once they have lived in the US for a certain amount of time?

If so how much time would an illegal alien have to have been in the US in order to be exempt from law. 1 year 14 years what's the numero??

That's been the case for as long as I can remember; the double standard! The few who commit crime have just made it more of a political issue even those all concerned are being quite hypocritical! Between the cheap labor in the fields to keep produce cheap and the many who need support to raise their brats! We're all complicit, creating drama that shouldn't be there!

I have yet to hear a good Logic based argument in support of sanctuary cities. Lots of sob stories and Statue of Liberty quotes lol.

Based on logic, sanctuary cities run on immigrants. Mass deportations are damaging to their economy. Laws like the Muslim ban our damaging to our communities, universities, hospitals. Etc. It's all quite logical, if you have any logic.

Right now the peso is 22 to 1 to the American dollar (thanks to Trump and his rhetoric.) Meaning Mexicans can't afford a new floor. They're just trying to eat right now.

For Americans it's a great vacation in Mexico right now. But you're forgetting those that work in Mexico are getting paid Peso's--not American dollars. Now how much do you believe that will translate too back to his kids here in the states when he's trying to support them? How many Mexicans working for Peso's are going to restaurants right now, and are hiring a contractors to install flooring?

Now on your march to deport every single illegal in this country, you may want to consider how many American children they have first. You know those Anchor babies. And while we're on this topic--it requires a 2/3's vote in the Senate and a 2/3's vote in the house and then 38 state legislatures have to sign off on it, or ratify it, in order to repeal or change any amendment to the constitution--including the 14th amendment (birth rights). BULLSHIT-- I was an electrical contractor in this same state Colorado for over 30 years. He would have had to have had business licenses. His General Contractors are required to file a 1099 that goes directly to the IRS--and he would have been required to pay all payroll taxes, have a general liability contractors policy, workman's compensation etc. etc. etc. IOW he was paying taxes--and all the other requirements to be working in Denver Colorado. (You don't have to prove citizenship in this country to open up a business--but there's a hell of a lot of other requirements you have to meet.)

The only reason immigration went after him was because of this:
