I was thinking 1964 (Civil Rights Act), and maybe only those who lived under legal segregation. This would not be an apology for slavery, but for a denial of civil liberties.

That's why I said 1950 because babies weren't hauled off to jail.

I used to be more of a centrist/moderate, who voted for members of both parties, independents, and others. And, you are exactly right. Republicans are bad but I wouldn't vote for a democrat anymore until they jettison the Progressives and the lunatic wokeness who can't even define what a woman is. Trump could pretty much do anything and I wouldn't give a shit because democrats are way worse.

Needed, NOT giving the political extremes power. From both party's. Lets try for some healthy balance.
Not power only struggles from either branch.
