So this lad spent 38 years in jail for something he didnt do. If we had the death penalty he would be dead.

Gary Michael Heidnik (November 22, 1943 – July 6, 1999) was an American murderer and serial rapist who kidnapped, tortured and raped six women, murdering two of them, while holding them captive in a self-dug pit in his basement floor in Philadelphia between 1986 and 1987. He was sentenced to death and executed by lethal injection in July 1999, the last person executed in the state of Pennsylvania as of November 2025. Heidnik later became one of the inspirations for the character of Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb in The Silence of the Lambs.<a

He also forced them to eat the ones he killed. I treated one of the survivors. She stated she could not heal until she knew he was dead and could never hurt her again. She attended his execution and after that she did start to heal her trauma.

Indeed i can think of several cases like that, when the IRA were on a rampage they blew up that pub in Birmingham killing several people, six people went to prison for years who had nothing to do with it, i believe one died inside, the public wanted results it ended with the suspects being beaten up by the police and one of them having a loaded pistol held to his head to get false confessions, it also happened with other cases.

Wonder how they would feel if it was one of their family who was innocent or had been framed by the police? i want the right people jailed not some innocent so the police can look good.
