If you were which country?
And if you are of german ancestry for example and you were in Germany do you bond with locals by introducing yourself as of German ancestry or insert x ancestry in x country?
If not do you just say you are american and did anyone ever asked?

I went to Peru in Europe.

How is that possible

Everything's possible on the US Message board. Have you not seen that Trump defeated ISIS, with almost no troops and very few bombs? Did you not see that Trump won the 2020 Presidential election with less votes and less electoral college votes than his opponent?

If I said it were a lie a day, I'd be lying, it's hundreds of lies a day and all his supporters run with it.

Nope. What does Europe have that I don't have?

England and Scotland. I was sent there by my then employer for 3 weeks, but extended my stay for an extra week, hired a car and just drove all around sightseeing.

Everyone loves talking politics with Americans especially in the Trump era.

I’ve been to Europe and other countries. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are quick to criticize US when a simple show gratitude would be more appropriate; namely, the outcome the US helped Europe achieve in WW2 and the security role the US has continued to play since WW2.

Why would I go there?

I figure if they want to see me then they can come over here.

Never been, always wanted to go to London though.

Had the good fortune to go there once. A bit of Spain and ann Italy tour. I was planning on going back maybe next year. But, life has intervened. I probably won’t be able to go for a while — if ever.

Let’s turn this around. Mortimer, have you ever been to the United States? If not, do you hope to come here someday? Will the idiotic “criminal” case you’re facing get in the way if your government prosecutors proceed with it and if you are found “guilty?”

I was stationed in Germany twice for a total of five years, and saw a lot of Europe traveling from there. This was in the earlyl eighties and then early nineties.

I have German ancestors, but I never mentioned it.

Now that you ask, I realize that no European ever asked me that, like 'what is your ancestry?' It's a question that Americans ask each other often, but the Europeans did not care in the least, as far as I could tell.*

I believe that Americans seem pretty homgeneous to Europeans, even though we see differences among ourselves.

*I was asked several times if I was Jewish, though.

So you wore the Naz shit because you are an anti Semite? I’m confused. I thought you had worn that shit only as a cos-play costume.

Im not saying im a anti semite misunderstanding but that the case might be a problem they could say im one
Well. That and a criminal record.

Any word on how your government prosecutors are leaning?
