From her official press release:
“Today, President Trump and I had a great meeting to discuss our shared priorities for the President’s second term. President Trump and I both want Washington, DC to be the best, most beautiful city in the world and we want the capital city to reflect the strength of our nation.
“We discussed areas for collaboration between local and federal government, especially around our federal workforce, underutilized federal buildings, parks and green spaces, and infrastructure. I am optimistic that we will continue to find common ground with the President during his second term, and we look forward to supporting a successful inauguration on January 20.”
She, like Trump, wants federal workers to go back to work. Their being allowed to sit at home and collect a paycheck, with which they order from Amazon, Door Dash, and Walmart's grocery delivery, is killing small businesses in the DC area.
Interesting thought about those under-utilized buildings. If Biden's give-away deal with the unions to make the "work from home" permanent stands up in court, converting those office spaces into homeless shelters run by charities seems like an excellent use of them. The federal workers who are required to go to work may not like stepping over the homeless, but neither do the working middle class in San Fran and other ultra-blue cities, recognizable by the smell of human feces.
