Since the FBI, CIA and SS were all controlled by partisan Democrats, most of whom were Trump haters, they might have wanted to see him assassinated. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to cover up any evidence pointing in that direction in the aftermath. And since they seem to be so good at coverups, why would it be surprising if they were able to hoodwink Bongino and Patel.
