Trust me when I say this boy was not traumatized.

You don’t know that. Some young boys do suffer negative psychological effects from these types of improper relationships. Many of these predator women are extremely manipulative and prey on boys who are troubled or emotionally damaged.

And it doesn’t matter if the boy enjoyed it or not. An adult, especially one who’s a teacher shouldn’t be having sex with a child. As someone who’s taught middle school, I can’t imagine ever taking advantage of a student like that.

Courts are not hard enough on these female predators.

MOST states have Romeo/Juliet laws in place. All should but perhaps don't. That has absolutely nothing to do with me or any of my posts. That is not my fault or my doing. This thread is about an adult person, a teacher, having sex with a 13-year-old child who is a student of hers.

Texas does, but they are still going to make this 14 year old a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.

That 13 year old child was not grabbed up off the street, he made a conscious decision to do that teacher.

What I've found is that kids who are truly promiscious in High School usually have shitty home lives. My first serious girlfriend was screwing since she was 14 (she was 18 by the time I got around to her) and meeting her family I could see why she was the way she was. ONe step above a trailer park.

The problem is that too many people cannot separate headlines from reality. The discussion needs to include some mention of perspective. Teachers are by far safe, caring people who are NOT trying to hurt your kid in any way. Just like most cops are trying to do the right thing. What we read in the headlines is the exception, not the rule. I taught for 30 years in two different states and internationally. In 30 years only one teacher in any school I was in was found to have sexual contact with a student, and he was 17. She was immediately fired and sent back to Canada as it was an international school.
