Gen. Milley perceived a potential threat to the Constitution and to our cherished institutions, and acted to make sure they were protected. He is a national hero, not a traitor.

Even though he perceived that the sitting president was out of control and potentially dangerous, no one has even claimed that he disobeyed any order given him by trump. He merely acted with caution in reminding the military that servicemembers' oath was to the Constitution and coordinated with the heads of the various branches of the military as to what should be done should they be confronted with an illegal or unconstitutional order.

Remember that trump did nothing when alerted to the attack on Congress, despite his responsibility as president to protect the nation, as well as his own vice president. He apparently did not even make a phone call to obtain the necessary manpower to quell the insurrection at the Capitol.
