Sure....because Comey said so, though the current state dept argued over it for a year with the FBI, saying it was NOT clasified and should be downgraded......because IT WAS PUBLIC information....but the Intelligence community won the argument against the State dept. It's kind of funny when I listen to these people complain about the mysterious deleted emails. I wonder if they realize that emails go two ways. If there were classified or even work related emails sent to her and she deleted them, there is still record of the messages on the senders server. All they need to do is check the records of CIA, FBI, DHS, State Dept etc for emails sent to clinton then cross reference the emails that she turned over. It isnt rocket science. Months of investigation by the FBI and they turned up careless activity but not criminal action. Why can't that be accepted?

She only needed to hand over the govt emails for the National archives, and so Congress could then get from the archives, any of the ones relating to Benghazi. Congress had no jurisdiction to subpoena her private emails because they never had any probable cause to do such so a judge would issue the subpoena.... that's justice, my dear.... I would expect the same protection of Privacy from the government the constitution has given us....upon myself, if in the same situation.

govt can't go on "fishing expeditions" and just collect any of our private information any time they want to see if they can fish thru it and find something to pin us on for no good reason, for goodness sake! There has to be probable cause for wanting her private emails....but you know that...!!!

That's correct and, IIRC, how the FBI found the deleted emails: on the other end. Of course not all were recovered because one has to know where the other end is and hope they didn't delete after reading.

My problem with the Clintons, and many politicians and lawyers on both sides of the aisle, is their habit of running right up to the edge of the legal line then walking along it as long as it's profitable. This is, of course, completely legal, but, in the minds of many Americans including myself, completely unethical. Hence why her favorability rating is often in the "deplorable" range.
