Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) is coming under fire after he insulted the U.S. military on Monday evening.

“We’ve got the weakest military that we’ve had in your or my lifetime,” he told Newsmax’s Eric Bolling as he complained of diversity initiatives. “Infiltrating our military is all this wokeness.”

Critics were quick to point out that if the U.S. military has been weakened, it’s not because of “wokeness.”

It’s because of Tuberville.

The senator has singlehandedly blocked hundreds of routine nominations and promotions to protest a Pentagon policy on travel expenses related to abortion.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has slammed Tuberville as “brazen and reckless,” and a growing number of Republican lawmakers are speaking out against him. Earlier this month, multiple GOP senators confronted Tuberville on the floor during a dramatic showdown over the holds.

Tuberville’s blockade has meant that key roles in the military have gone unfilled, while service members and their families have been kept in limbo.

I mean what can you say, this right wing, racist idiot is a joke.

This is the kind of trash that the state of Alabama produces, it is amazing listening to clowns like this who have never been in the Boy Scouts let alone the military.

Another idiot who does not know how the military works. Those posts always have someone filling them even if it is temporary. The military is having recruitment issues and supply problems so Tuberville isn't wrong about the state of the Armed Forces in this country.

Dumbass Tuberville doesn't know how the military works and idiots like you who support him. The recruitment issues are coming from the fact that more folks have more options in today's society. It used to be go to college or join the military, that isn't the case anymore.

Many service men and women were discharged because they refused the Covid booster shots.

Now the moonbats are suddenly all about the military?

The war mongers are not transferring more and more to the Progressive Socialist Party. They are in both parties still. At least two candidates in the Republican primaries still...Haley and Christie are neo cons. They will not win anything now. The proof is that the military is not getting the percentages from the Deplorable side joining them in the numbers needed. Only the Marines are meeting quotas.

Tuberville is right. Too much bullshit in our military. Our military should be the closest thing to totalitarian rule in this country, not the Democrat party. MAGA
No, Senator Tuberville is wrong. The military cannot be totalitarian without a head to make the final and tough decisions. It is like a football team facing major decisions without a head coach. This is not the venue or time for that kind of rhetoric, since it puts our military at risk and their families at risk. Maybe he was a good football coach, and this does not translate into a U.S.A senator who is a one way street and who is unable to recognize the danger he has created during these pressing times. That Senator Tuberville doesn't seem to care about the state of the world, is troubling.

I'm not a "teabagger" and would cut the MIC and war spending to ribbons given my druthers....Would bring 90% of the troops home too.

So suck on that, moonbat.

Seems you are saying this dude is a crappy head coach. I can't disagree.

He is attacking military LEADERSHIP, not the soldier. He's 100% correct. When the head of the Joint Chiefs pledges his allegiance to Xi Jinping and stabs President Trump in the back, that tells you how bad the problems are at the top.
