They live in an upper middle class neighborhood that is mostly white that will probably not miss their business. Their neighborhood is probably filled with corporate owned businesses.
This country is all about capitalism and networking, just now they want a piece of the pie. Every other ethnic group that came to the United States started out doing this, it is how they survived. The difference is there is a stigma with black people.

Agreed and what people don't understand is that when blacks buy from blacks it enables us to more for ourselves instead of getting handouts, doing for self is what other ethnic groups have done and that is, being self sufficient. Also as you said, people are not being tricked or forced into them, they have to walk into the place with the intent of getting the loan themselves, there isn't even sales pressure of any sort.

A Word of Caution on Payday Loans

Do the math, don't just listen to hype. APR is per YEAR, the actual cost comes out to 15% per loan on average, one time only, and they don't go out looking for people to trick into loans, nor do they try to talk you into borrowing more than you can, they actually limit it based on income to something that any half intelligent person should be able to pay back. Their other fees are all simple bank fees, a bounced check at banks normally costs a person $50, they charge only an additional $20 for someone being stupid enough (or criminal enough) to bounce a check, and they don't make it impossible to pay back. Most offer payment plans and don't push it unless you "drop off the radar". Don't listen to hype, it's just hype.

As for "buy black", that's impossible, it's just as impossible to "buy white" ... buying any product will ultimately benefit a lot of different people, from a lot of different races.

Um, no. They limit based on earned income, in the hopes that you can pay it off and return to borrow more. It costs them more money when you don't. They are not FDIC since they don't hold your money, they are giving you their money in the hopes you pay them back. They also are not only in "poverty" areas, Seattle has a lot, Cap Hill does to, and recently they increased their amounts to $700 because the are has high enough income standard (2,800 average per month) to allow such.
