I did it several times over the years during bad snowstorms. We just relieved each other the best we could and caught some Zs in the unused isolation cells.

Sure, it was rough, but we were paid well for our trouble.....Then again I worked for a sane state.

When you make your living off other people's taxes you can expect them to have some say in the matter.

In my case I moved on to DuPont when the raises dried-up under (believe it or not) dem austerity measures but I had the good sense to leave my retirement alone and let it grow.

I retired from DuPont, then went back to VDOC (my previous years of service still intact) and retired from there.....Two full pensions.
