Conway Twitty

I sent Yesterday When I Was Young to my brother. He couldn't believe I remembered it. We had a jamborie jukebox when we were kids and it was one of only 2 records we had. That and 8 Days a Week.

And Glen Campbell thought it was such a great song he decided to cover it 5 years later

I thinking he wrote this one .The Pointer Sisters had a hit with it as well.

His song named "Good-Bye Time" is what scored my newest favorite singer the American Idol identity that he went onto have. :) :) :)

God bless you and the late legend's family and John always!!!

Holly

P.S. He was labeled the runner up when the dust settled, but his musical journey hasn't stopped. His Grand Ole Opry debut is this Saturday, and I can't wait to listen to his performance at the WSM website. :) :) :)

I v like Conway but Roy Clark owns this one.

Most singers today lack talent.

Well back when I was young I could have counted all the women singers I liked on 1 or two hands. Today I can name dozens of women who I find amazing.

Country music is WAY better today than it was back then.

But whoever is writing all these songs is better than the writers of yesterday. IMO.

Pink, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Arianna Grande, Rhianna, Lainey Wilson, Carrie Underwood, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, etc.

^^^ To me, the newest person to make country music as awesome as it is today made his Grand Ole Opry debut this past Saturday night. In my opinion, there can never be too much of this complete and total masterpiece.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly (a girl who can't wait to hear more from him)

In OKC where I grew up in the 1960s-1970s, where Conway hung out, he had a restaurant there named Twitty-Burger and used the Tweety-Bird of Warner Bros fame as a mascot on the marquee.
