It appears the man did time and got out legally by parole.

So WTF is the point of this thread? The man served 18 years in prison, he was not arrested and released. He went before a parole board and convinced them he was good to be out on the street. So again, WTF is the point here? I think I know the answer. Try finding an article with white criminals, because they do exist. Here is one:
