From what Paul said was the "thorn in his side" I take that he was same sex oriented and he took up his cross and followed Christ and became an Apostle of Christ. But, to take away those feelings once they are ingrained in someone's brain and change them to heterosexual feelings is impossible. The reprobate mind is irreversible. But, one can be celibate.
