A New York Times essay written by conservative J. Michael Luttig, a former federal judge appointed by George H.W. Bush, was a strong suggestion to former vice president Pence that it would be unwise to take his challenge of the Grand Jury subpoena all the way to the Supreme Court.
In January 2021, Luttig had advised in his rejection of trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election result, which was legal advise Pence chose wisely to follow.
However, given the corruption now gripping the right-wing extremists in the Supreme Court, Pence and other members of trump’s criminal syndicate could very well find the Supreme Court as their salvation for their treasonous activities that led up to the failed coup attempt on January 6, 2021.
