Congratulations, Democrats

Maybe you all missed it. Maybe you wasn't looking. Maybe you had so much loyalty in the democratic part that you thought they had some master plan that was going to keep Trump from becoming president.

But thanks to all those court cases, false allegations, and what was deemed "witch hunts," including the guilty verdict that ended with no punishment, the democrat party practically handed Trump the white house.
He served literally no time in jail. His bonds and fines were reduced to almost nothing (to him). They could've sent him to prison before the primaries, during or after. But they didn't. They kept stalling and stalling.

I don't mean this ugly. It's a very serious & respectful question. Don't you democrat voters find it suspicious that the democrat leadership, including the court system, didn't do anything to really keep Trump from taking office? After all that drama, and it ended with what the democrat party practically promised the voters would not happen.

I don't know about y'all. But it seems exactly like Trump being the next president was exactly what the democrat party was wanting all along. Someone who could get the support of the republican voters, but still do the bidding of the democrats. Because that's what happened between 2017 and 2021.
It was all for show, to keep Trump from the White House. I hope democrats learned these things from the experience but I doubt they did:

1. the lawfare didn't work. A CNN poll found that out of the voters whose number one priority for voting was to "save democracy", 58% of them voted for Trump.

2. The more the media lied and showed their anti-Trump bias, the more it helped Trump

3. Voters didn't care who celebrities, including Taylor Swift, endorsed. In fact, it seemed to help Trump.

We underestimated white racism.

Why are grocery prices not coming down yet?
You mean you underestimated DEMOCRAT white racism. Remember, Republicans wouldn't vote for the democrat nominee if he/she/it were man/woman/unknown/ howler monkey, and millions of democrats came out to vote for the old white guy last time that refused to vote for the Indian woman this time. Looks like you democrats have a racism and sexism problem.

It was a complete overreach. The average voter that isn't consumed by day-to-day politics looked at what was going on and wondered why they were supposed to hate this guy so much.

After Trump fired the left wing Coast Guard commander and withdrew the clearance of every Intel. fool who signed the letter about Hunter's laptop on his first day, the disappointed minority of democrats subscribe to the theory that he will "do the bidding of democrats"? You gotta be kidding

If Trump hasn't actually changed and found conservatism, then both R & D's were duped.
Warning signs: Endorsing Mike Johnson & Thune. Wanting the next reconciliation bill to be "one big beautiful bill, with everything in it." Pledging to spend all that money to help Elon get to Mars.
On the flip side, he's put a 90 day halt on sending foreign aid. (or so he says). But I have questions about that.
Was any money set to be released within the next 90 days? I mean if the next round of funding wasn't set to be released for 120 days, then his 90 day halt was just smoke & mirrors.

democrats live by narrative, not truth, and a lot of times, narrative has only to do with the immediate, not with anything past or future. Therefore, they see nothing amiss with one day claiming, for example, that TRUMP! is going to make the Chinese super mad by applying tariffs to their products while the next day claiming that he is a slave to China and will do whatever they command him to do. The Queen of Hearts' quote is more than just a cute story for them, it's reality.

“Alice laughed. 'There's no use trying,' she said. 'One can't believe impossible things.'
I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. 'When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

Things like that, I do show Trump some respect for. Ending all that DEI crap in our military, again deserves respect. But in the grand scope of things, those are miniscule issues for most of us average citizens. Those are things that don't affect 99% of us at all. Except our emotions.

The real issues that affect most of us, we're just going to have wait and see what he does. Things like tax cuts followed by huge spending increases. That's retarded. And something we'd expect from someone who leans left, or has no problem destroying the value of the dollar.
Is he going to get us into a war with Iran? Which could pull BRICS nations in to help Iran. Including Russia and Iran.

I think you're making some assumptions here that are of questionable merit.

If you've ever been involved in the legal system -and I have- you'd know that the process itself is every bit as financially and emotionally draining as any supposed "justice" being meted out....It has been made part of the punishment.

Likewise, they've abused the system and processes so horribly for so long, yet have never ever been held to account for such blatant misconduct...You need look no further than the blatant perjury of Blasey-Ford and Sweatnick on the Kavanaugh hearings to confirm this....So they've been completely emboldened to debase everything because they know that there's no price to be paid in the end.

Long and the short of it is that they expected the accusations, and drive-by media narratives built around them, to be enough to rid themselves of the Orange Man....And like everything else they touch, it has been a colossal failure.

Good post. Great point.

Trump isn't as bad as the left makes him out to be.
And he's not near as good as the right makes him out to be.

The left's biggest transgression was when voters couldn't afford to live anymore and yet democrats told them that they were wrong and that the economy was going great. Somehow Democrats thought that Americans wouldn't catch on when they went to pay for things and couldn't.

All that sounds good. But the bottom line is, AFTER he was found guilty of 34 felonies, they could've put him in prison for only 6 months. Or even 3 months just before the primaries started.
But they didn't. If they really wanted him gone, like all the Trump supporters have said for years now, then why didn't they?

"When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth"

Harris's personal economy was going great. lol. She was just too stupid to realize that hers and her voters weren't the same. She couldn't even articulate her own economic plan.

No they couldn't have....They knew that attempting to imprison him would only further enhance his cachet.

They knew that every new recrimination they heaped on him only made him more popular....They also knew that they were behind the whole time and losing ground.
"When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth"
I just showed you a scenario that is far more likely than the improbable nonsense you've peddled, yet you won't even give it a moment's consideration.

That was the whole thing with the Democrat party. They completely lost touch with ordinary working class Americans. At the closing of the DNC convention, Harris proudly stood with all of her millionaire and billionaire donors, holding hands and chanting, "We're not going back", which I guess means they aren't going back to being average Joes and Janes.

Like they cared about "enhancing his cachet." They'd spent 4+ years supposedly taking him down. And when they could've, when they could've fulfilled their promise to democrat voters, they refused to do it.

Saying they couldn't, is retarded. They could've. But they didn't.

Put him in prison, during the primaries, would've sealed Trumps fate. GOP voters wouldn't have liked it. And many would've wrote in Trumps name. But not near as many that would've simply voted for DeSantis or Haley.

The actual scenario. They could've put Trump in prison and didn't. That's the obvious one. You're trying to make out that suddenly the democrat leadership finally realized they were only helping Trump?
Fact: Trump gave the left everything they wanted from 2017 to 2021. Why wouldn't they want him back? Because he talks bad about them? All that smack doesn't matter if you're still getting what you want.

Democrat voters weren't given a choice of anything. Harris was shoved down their throats. She couldn't articulate any of her plans. She refused so many interviews. Hardly any press conferences. When she did speak, it was extremely controlled. And even then, she bumbled as much as Biden.

But the funny thing is, she still only lost by 2.2 million votes (out of 150m)

Yeah, if you think about it, in many ways she did worse than Biden but at least Biden had an excuse due to his senility.

How messed up is that. To be less articulate than someone in their 80's with a quick moving mental decline.
I can't really fathom her getting anywhere if she decides to run again in 2028. She can't articulate anything because she doesen't have anything to articulate AND I don't think the dems will be on board with going with the stench of a loser.
